Auckland City Mayor Len Brown visited Vend’s brand-spanking new office in Newmarket, Auckland. The space is right at the heart of Auckland’s premier retail district, a decision made so we could be close to where our customers (store owners) are.
Len is shown around Vend’s new reception area, which doubles as a cafe and retail store using Vend as its POS. This way we get to use the product our customers are using every day, helping us refine it and make it even better.
The Mayor was heard to say the Vend Cafe has a distinctly “Swedish sauna” feel to it. We’ll take that as a compliment.
Len is taught how to use Vend by CEO and Founder Vaughan Rowsell. He’s a quick learner and is selling coffee and green t-shirts in no time.
Len and Vaughan addresses the Vend team, talking about our growth over the past three years, our future plans, and how technology companies are shaping Auckland’s development for the better.
Vend’s Auckland team gathers around to listen to Mayor Len Brown speak of the importance of cloud technology companies for the city’s economy.
After a quick tour of the office, Len and Vaughan visit some Vend customers along Nuffield Street, in Newmarket. The duo are obviously fans of the movie Reservoir Dogs.

As an avid fan of skateboarding, Len was quick to hop on one of the many decks we have rolling around the office (safely of course).
