Vend named as one of Monocle Magazine’s Top 25 in Retail Award winners

Monocle Magazine – the world-watching, discerning journal on style, current affairs and retail – has just released its inaugural Top 25 in Global Retail list, which features Vend alongside some fantastic examples of retail trends from around the world. The article champions the best developments in the shopping experience – and it’s a great honour that Vend is the only point-of-sale retail platform on the list.

“We love the way that Monocle champions great retail experiences and independent retailers doing new and exciting things. Monocle is consistently the place to see the best of the global resurgence in boutique and niche retail – a revolution we’re lucky enough to be a part of every day with our community of 10,000+ innovative and exciting retailers,” says Vend founder and CEO, Vaughan Rowsell.

It’s very exciting for us at Vend (a cloud software company) to be featured alongside 24 brick-and-mortar examples of great retail. Some people think online tools will kill offline retail, but as this Monocle article shows, that’s definitely not the case. In fact, cloud software such as Vend is giving small and medium-sized businesses access to the kind of tools that were once only available to the big guys – which means retailers can concentrate on providing awesome experiences, which is what sets them apart from the big box retailers.

Pick up a copy of the latest Monocle (Issue 72, April 2014) today and be as inspired as we are by all the great things happening in this space today.
