Faster, stronger, servier!
Here at Vend we’re constantly working on making the POS experience for our retailers smoother. Earlier this month, our Infrastructure team upgraded the servers which run your POS, effectively halving the amount of time it takes for us to generate a page.
What this means is the Sell Screen will load faster and the overall Vend experience should be much snappier (which all helps retailers make sales more quickly).
The Vend policy is to strive for constant improvement, and we’re already working on the next changes which will make your POS experience even better. Stay tuned!
The invasion of the iPads
Being cloud-based, Vend has been running on the iPad since the very beginning, through the Mobile Safari browser. We wanted to create an even better experience for our retailers using the iPad, which is why we launched the free Vend for iPad app last November – and the uptake has been phenomenal.
“We’re just coming up to its one year anniversary in the App Store. In the last three months, we’ve seen a pretty staggering increase in users and activity, both doubling in that period,” says Jin Budelmann, head of the iOS team at Vend.
“I think it’s gaining traction in the US as we add US specific features, such as integrated credit card payments via PayPal.”
