Vend Update – October

Hi,

We have released a couple of new features this month that simplifies a couple of areas in Vend.

Register Closures

You now get a detailed report of all your day’s transactions when you close a register which you can print off for your records.  So you can save some trees this closure detail report is also available from the main Register Closures report.  Visit Reports > Register closures and click on the open time of an individual closure to see the full details.  This also works for register that are still open too.

Faster sync-ing of offline data

We have dramatically improved the speed your offline data synchronises.  You may not notice this if you have only a few hundred products, but if like some retailers you have thousands of products then this will run much much faster for you 🙂

Posting stock orders to Xero

You can now post a draft invoice for your stock orders directly into Xero.  When you create a stock order, simply click the “Send to Xero” button.  Then in Xero you can add any other line items, like freight or duty and approve the invoice.

Active and Inactive products

You can now mark products as “inactive”.  An inactive product is hidden from the the product lookup on the Sell screen, but is still available to be reported on.  You can also create new season products as inactive, and then activate them when you are ready to sell them.

Customer module

We have smartened up the customer module to make it easier to view and edit your customers, plus you can now open up any Xero imported customer’s profile directly in Xero. Also you can easily see the complete purchase history of a every customer.

Lots lots more

We love all the feedback we get and have made dozens of little tweaks based on the ideas from our users.  If you have an idea or a tweak suggestion, let us know.
