Vender of the Week: The Burren Perfumery

Who: The Burren Perfumery

Where: The Burren, Ireland

What: Makers of perfumes, creams, balms, and soaps using natural and organic ingredients, the team at the Burren Perfumery make everything on site, by hand, in small batches. They make products that they like, on a scale that suits their situation and sensitive location.

Love your customer: I had the pleasure of visiting Ireland a few years ago. I’ll never forget stumbling upon The Burren Perfumery’s incredible oasis in the middle of the burren. They offer simple, elegant products in a pristine environment. We’re so pleased that Vend suits their ethos.

Love your POS: ”When I went to buy a new till system a couple of years ago I was completely gobsmacked: €2000 for the till itself, another €1800 for software to be able to produce basic reports and (!) €800 to have an ‘engineer’ come out and ‘install’ the software! Really? I thought. €2000 for something that is basically a largish calculator on top of a metal box and it doesn’t even do reports for that? And who pays €800 to have some install software?

Instead I ended up with Vend for a few bucks each month, running on a nice €300 iPad. What’s not to like?” – Ralph Doyle, The Burren Perfumery, Ireland
