What’s new in Vend – January

Speedier servers!

Over the Christmas period we’ve upgraded our servers in order to make sure we’re ready to tackle everything 2014 has to offer. The added benefit of the improvements to our core infrastructure is faster loading times for the app. This is especially noticeably for retailers running large reports. Hurrah for speed!

Offline receipt barcodes

To make sure our retailers are doing the best business they can both online and offline, we’re always improving how Vend handles common sales tasks when off the grid. A recent update to how receipt barcodes are handled means they now work offline. Sales made offline now carry barcodes at the bottom of receipts, when retailers come back online these barcodes are synchronised again with Vend.

Bug –  Deleting products with layaway sales

We’ve fixed the issue where retailers receive errors if they delete a product, but there’s a sale of that product waiting in the layaway queue. Now when you delete a product there will be warning to let you know if there’s a sale waiting to be processed. Once that sale is resolved (either paid or removed) you’ll be able to delete the product.
