What’s new in Vend – November

Tax Groups are here (yay!)

It’s been a long time in the making, but Vend now supports Tax Groups (wahoo!).

The new feature lets retailers combine multiple taxes into a single group, which is then displayed on the Sell Screen, receipts, and reports. You can find out more about Tax Groups and how to use them, here.

Getting Tax Groups deployed means we can start getting on with adding more features which will help our retailers do better business. We’re also adding some minor additions to Tax Groups to increase its functionality in Canada, including the ability to remove single taxes by line during a sale.

iOS updates galore

The latest version of the Vend iPad app (v0.8.3) fixes some bugs which popped up . The issue with some Star printers not responding has been resolved, and users should no longer experience any crashes when they switch users between sales.

We recommend that all our users upgrade their iPads to iOS 7, and download the latest version of the Vend iPad app (which is free for our retailers). If you’re having any trouble with the Vend iPad app, please feel free to get in touch with our awesome Support team (support@vendhq.com).

PayPal refunds

Every month Vend is improving how we work with PayPal, one of the world’s most popular and easy-to-use payment systems. This month we’ve made it easier for our retailers to refund payments they’ve taken using PayPal.

US retailers can make a PayPal refund by going to the History screen, looking up the sale in question, and clicking the “Apply payment / refund” button.
