The Christmas shopping period is almost upon us, meaning store owners the world over are making their lists and checking them twice. We know that for retailers the Christmas process starts early, which is why we’re doing our 12 Days of Christmas a month earlier. We’ve gone out to our awesome community and asked 12 Venders to share their top tip for achieving retail success this Holiday Season, and over the next few weeks we’ll be sharing them with you.
First up is Brothers Beer – an amazing emporium of boutique and exceptional beer, from across the globe. Their fridges overflow with rare, wonderful and well-made brews – including some of their own, made in-house right in front of their customers.
Here’s Nick Anderson-Gee (Brothers Beer’s Front of House Manager) number one tip:
Xmas Tip #1:
“Don’t play Christmas f@#*ing carols!”
“Create an escape from the retail madness of the Holiday Season by not polluting the air with too many carols. Seriously, people will hear them enough elsewhere and all it will do is drive them away, and turn your staff crazy,” he says.
So, what’s your policy for Christmas music during the Silly Season? Are you like Nick, and averse to carols in the store, or are you excitedly looking forward to getting out the Christmas classic hits album? Let us know in the comments section below!
